سفرة دفتر لتسجيل ما تأكله، وتحتاج لكي تعمل إلى ما تكتبه عن وجباتك. نتعامل مع دفترك وهدفك ووزنك على أنها بيانات صحية، ونطلب موافقتك الصريحة قبل أن تغادر هاتفك.
لا نحفظ أي نسخة احتياطية على خادمنا إلا إذا سجّلت الدخول باستخدام Apple (وتخبرك شاشة تسجيل الدخول قبل أن تضغط الزر أنه يحفظ نسخة من دفترك والماء ووزنك وهدفك اليومي وإعداداتك)، أو شغّلت: الإعدادات › الذكاء والخصوصية › احفظ نسخة احتياطية من دفتري. والسماح بقراءة الوجبات بالذكاء الاصطناعي اختيار مستقل لا يبدأ النسخ الاحتياطي. ومع حساب الضيف لا يُنسخ إلا دفترك، ويبقى وزنك وأكواب الماء وهدفك وإعداداتك على هاتفك.
إجاباتك الصحية (الحمل أو الرضاعة، والسكري، واضطرابات الأكل)، وجنسك، وسنة ميلادك، وطولك تبقى على هاتفك فقط.
لكي نتعرّف على الأطعمة نرسل سطر الوجبة (أو صورتها إذا استخدمت تصوير الأكل) إلى مزوّد خارجي لخدمة الذكاء الاصطناعي، وهو اليوم شركة OpenAI أو شركة Anthropic بحسب المهمة. وإذا لم يستطع آيفونك تحويل كلامك إلى نص بنفسه، نرسل التسجيل الصوتي إلى OpenAI لتحويله إلى نص. لا نرسل اسمك ولا رقم حسابك ولا وزنك ولا إجاباتك الصحية، ولا يستخدم المزوّدون هذه البيانات لتدريب نماذجهم ولا للإعلانات.
لا نحتفظ بصورك ولا بتسجيلاتك الصوتية.
لا إعلانات، ولا تتبّع، ولا نبيع بياناتك أبدًا.
تستطيع تصدير دفترك وحذف حسابك من داخل التطبيق.
1. من نحن
سفرة هي مقدّمة هذا التطبيق، ونشير إليها في هذه السياسة بـ«سفرة» أو «نحن». ونحن «جهة التحكم» في بياناتك، أي الجهة التي تحدد لماذا تُعالَج بياناتك الشخصية وكيف.
تنطبق هذه السياسة على تطبيق سفرة للآيفون، وتطبيقه على Apple Watch، وأدواته على الشاشة الرئيسية وشاشة القفل، وهذا الموقع.
2. ما نجمعه وأين يُحفظ
نجمع أقل قدر ممكن من البيانات. هذه كل أنواع البيانات التي تتعامل معها سفرة:
سطور دفترك
ما هي
النص الذي تكتبه أو تقوله (حتى 500 حرف)، ووقته، والوجبة التي ينتمي إليها، وطريقة تسجيله (كتابة أو صوت أو صورة أو من الساعة)، وإجابتك عن سؤال التوضيح إن وُجد، والأطعمة والكميات والسعرات والعناصر الغذائية التي نحسبها له.
أين تُحفظ
على هاتفك. ونسخة احتياطية على خادمنا مرتبطة برقم حسابك ما دام النسخ الاحتياطي مفعّلًا، ويبدأ عندما تسجّل الدخول باستخدام Apple أو تشغّل: الإعدادات › الذكاء والخصوصية › احفظ نسخة احتياطية من دفتري.
لماذا
لتشغيل دفترك، وحساب السعرات، واسترجاع دفترك إذا غيّرت هاتفك.
هل هي إلزامية؟
لا يعمل الدفتر من دونها. أما النسخة الاحتياطية على خادمنا فاختيارية، ولا تبدأ إلا بعد موافقتك، وهي مستقلة عن قراءة الوجبات بالذكاء الاصطناعي، فالسماح بالذكاء الاصطناعي لا يبدأها. وإذا أوقفت النسخ الاحتياطي تبقى سطورك الجديدة على هاتفك، ويبقى ما نُسخ من قبل على خادمنا حتى تحذف بياناتك (القسم 8). وإذا أوقفته بنفسك فلا يعيد تسجيلُ الدخول باستخدام Apple تشغيلَه.
هدفك وإعداداتك
ما هي
هدفك اليومي من السعرات والبروتين والكربوهيدرات والدهون، وساعة بداية يومك، واللغة، ووحدات القياس، وشكل الأرقام.
أين تُحفظ
على هاتفك. وإذا سجّلت الدخول باستخدام Apple والنسخ الاحتياطي مفعّل، نحفظ نسخة منها على خادمنا مرتبطة بحسابك، لتعود إليك على أي هاتف دون أن تعيد الإجابة عن أسئلة البداية، وتخبرك بذلك شاشة تسجيل الدخول قبل أن تضغط الزر. أما مع حساب الضيف فتبقى على هاتفك فقط، وإذا أوقفت النسخ الاحتياطي تبقى تغييراتك الجديدة على هاتفك.

إجابات أسئلة البداية
ما هي
نوع هدفك، وجنسك، وسنة ميلادك، وطولك، ووزنك المستهدف، ومستوى نشاطك، والسرعة التي تختارها، وإجابة سؤال السلامة (الحمل أو الرضاعة، أو السكري، أو المرور باضطراب في الأكل). ويُحفظ وزنك عند البداية أيضًا كأول وزن مسجّل (انظر «الوزن والماء»).
أين تُحفظ
على هاتفك فقط. لا تُرسَل إلينا ولا إلى أي جهة أخرى. ما ننسخه إلى حسابك هو هدفك اليومي الناتج عنها فقط (انظر «هدفك وإعداداتك»).

لحساب خطتك اليومية مع حدود الأمان.

اختيارية. إذا تخطيت سؤالًا استخدمنا تقديرًا أكثر حذرًا.
حسابك
ما هي
رقم حساب عشوائي، دون اسم ولا بريد إلكتروني، ينشئه التطبيق أول مرة يستخدم فيها أي ميزة على خادمنا، ومنها البحث في جدول الأطعمة (حساب ضيف). وإذا سجّلت الدخول باستخدام Apple: معرّف تعطينا إياه Apple. ولا نطلب من Apple اسمك ولا بريدك الإلكتروني.
أين تُحفظ
على خادمنا. وتُحفظ رموز الدخول في سلسلة المفاتيح (Keychain) على هاتفك. وإذا سجّلت الدخول باستخدام Apple نحفظ أيضًا، مشفّرًا على خادمنا، الرمز الذي تعطينا إياه Apple، فقط لنفصل سفرة عن حسابك في Apple عند حذف حسابك.
لازمة للمزايا المتصلة بالإنترنت: البحث في جدول الأطعمة، وقراءة الوجبات بالذكاء الاصطناعي، والنسخ الاحتياطي. ويلزم تسجيل الدخول باستخدام Apple لشراء سفرة بلس أو استعادته، ولإضافة سطور جديدة بعد أيام من التسجيل.

عنوان IP، ونوع الجهاز، وإصدار التطبيق ونظام التشغيل، وهي معلومات يرسلها هاتفك تلقائيًا مع كل طلب إلى خادمنا، ومنها تسجيل الدخول وتجديده.

الصوت
ما هي
عندما تقول وجبتك يتحوّل كلامك إلى نص. إذا كان آيفونك يستطيع ذلك بنفسه (iOS 26 أو أحدث، مع نموذج التعرّف على الكلام بلغة التطبيق)، يتم التحويل على آيفونك بخدمة التعرّف على الكلام من Apple، ولا يغادر التسجيل هاتفك. وإن لم يستطع، يسجّل التطبيق مقطعًا قصيرًا (حتى 30 ثانية) ويرسله عبر خادمنا إلى OpenAI لتحويله إلى نص.
أين تُحفظ
لا نحفظ التسجيل في التطبيق ولا على خادمنا، وقد تحتفظ به OpenAI المدة المذكورة في القسم 7. أما النص فيصبح سطرًا في دفترك.

تعرض أدوات الشاشة الرئيسية وشاشة القفل أرقام يومك وآخر سطورك من بيانات محفوظة على هاتفك.

تُجدوَل على هاتفك، ولا تمر بخادمنا.
ملف التصدير
يُنشأ ملف CSV على هاتفك عندما تطلبه، وأنت من يقرر مع من يشاركه.
تطبيق Apple Watch: يعمل عبر آيفونك، فليس له حساب ولا تسجيل دخول خاص به، ولا يتصل بخادمنا. ترسل الساعة السطور التي تقولها أو تكتبها، وأكواب الماء، وأطعمتك المفضلة، إلى سفرة على آيفونك، فيقرأ الآيفون السطور مثل أي سطر آخر، ثم يرسل أرقام يومك إلى الساعة. لا يقرأ تطبيق الساعة بيانات «صحتي» ولا يكتب فيها.
لا نجمع جهات اتصالك، ولا موقعك، ولا سجل تصفحك، ولا معرّف الإعلانات.
3. قراءة الوجبات بالذكاء الاصطناعي
لكي تفهم سفرة ما تكتبه أو تقوله بلهجتك، نستعين بمزوّدين خارجيين لخدمة الذكاء الاصطناعي. لا يحدث ذلك إلا بعد موافقتك الصريحة في التطبيق، على شاشة تذكر المزوّدَين كليهما بالاسم قبل أول سطر.
المزوّدون
تستعين سفرة بمزوّدين اثنين: شركة OpenAI (نماذج GPT) وشركة Anthropic, PBC (نماذج Claude)، وكلتاهما في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. واختيار المزوّد لكل مهمة إعدادٌ على خادمنا، فقد يتغير دون تحديث التطبيق، لكن بين هذين المزوّدين فقط. وإذا لم يُجب المزوّد الأساسي أو تعذّر استخدام إجابته، يذهب الطلب نفسه إلى مزوّد احتياطي. هذا هو التوزيع في تاريخ آخر تحديث لهذه السياسة:

ما لا نرسله
اسمك، وبريدك، ورقم حسابك، وعنوان IP، ومعرّف جهازك، ووزنك، وإجاباتك الصحية، وهدفك. تصل الطلبات إلى المزوّدين من خادمنا، لا من هاتفك مباشرة.
ماذا يفعل الذكاء الاصطناعي
يختار الأطعمة والكميات. وإذا كان الطعام في جدول سفرة، يحسب كود سفرة السعرات والعناصر الغذائية من الجدول، وتظهر بجانبه عبارة «من جدول سفرة». وإذا لم يكن الطعام في جدولنا بعد، يقترح الذكاء الاصطناعي أيضًا قيمًا تقريبية لكل 100 غرام، ويبقى الحساب على كود سفرة، ونضع على النتيجة علامة «تقدير» لتراجعها وتعدّلها. لا يتخذ الذكاء الاصطناعي أي قرار له أثر قانوني عليك أو أثر مشابه.

ما يلتزم به
OpenAI
لا تستخدم البيانات المرسلة عبر واجهتها البرمجية لتدريب نماذجها إلا بموافقة العميل، ولم نوافق على ذلك. وتحتفظ بسجلات رصد إساءة الاستخدام حتى 30 يومًا، ما لم يُلزمها القانون بمدة أطول. وقد أوقفنا خيار حفظ الردود لديها.
Anthropic
لا تستخدم البيانات المرسلة عبر واجهتها البرمجية لتدريب نماذجها من دون إذن صريح، وتحذف المدخلات والمخرجات خلال 30 يومًا، إلا المحتوى الذي يُرصد مخالفًا لسياسة الاستخدام فقد تحتفظ به حتى سنتين (وبتقييمات السلامة الخاصة به حتى 7 سنوات)، أو ما يُلزمها القانون بالاحتفاظ به.
لا تستخدم OpenAI ولا Anthropic بياناتك للإعلانات، وتلتزم كل منهما معنا باتفاقية معالجة بيانات توفر لبياناتك حماية مساوية على الأقل لما في هذه السياسة.
اختيارك
قراءة الوجبات بالذكاء الاصطناعي اختيارية. تستطيع إيقافها في أي وقت من: الإعدادات › الذكاء والخصوصية › قراءة الوجبات بالذكاء الاصطناعي. بعد الإيقاف لا نرسل أي شيء إلى مزوّدي الذكاء الاصطناعي، وتستطيع إضافة الأطعمة بالبحث في جدول سفرة من دون ذكاء اصطناعي.
4. لماذا نستخدم بياناتك وعلى أي أساس
نعدّ سطور دفترك وهدفك ووزنك بيانات صحية، وهي من البيانات الحساسة. لذلك لا نعالجها إلا بموافقتك الصريحة، ولا نعتمد في معالجتها على «المصلحة المشروعة».

قد نفصح عن بيانات إذا ألزمنا بذلك القانون أو جهة رسمية مختصة. وإذا انتقلت ملكية سفرة إلى جهة أخرى، فستنتقل البيانات معها بالحماية نفسها، وسنبلغك مسبقًا.
لا نبيع بياناتك ولا نؤجّرها لأي أحد.
6. نقل البيانات خارج بلدك
نخدم مستخدمين في المملكة العربية السعودية والإمارات العربية المتحدة وغيرهما، ولذلك تُنقل بياناتك خارج بلدك:
تُحفظ بيانات خادمنا في الاتحاد الأوروبي (أيرلندا)، وقد تعالج وظائف الخادم طلبك في مركز بيانات قريب منك قبل حفظه.
يعالج مزوّدا الذكاء الاصطناعي (OpenAI وAnthropic) وRevenueCat البيانات في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.
نعتمد في هذا النقل على ضمانات تعاقدية، منها البنود التعاقدية القياسية المعتمدة في الاتحاد الأوروبي وملحق المملكة المتحدة، وعلى الضمانات التي يتطلبها نظام حماية البيانات الشخصية في المملكة العربية السعودية ولوائحه، والقانون الاتحادي لحماية البيانات الشخصية في الإمارات. ونقيّم مخاطر النقل حين يتطلب القانون ذلك. تستطيع طلب نسخة من هذه الضمانات عبر support@getsufra.app.
7. مدة الاحتفاظ بالبيانات

سطور دفترك ونسختها الاحتياطية
على هاتفك: حتى تحذفها. على خادمنا (إن كان النسخ الاحتياطي مفعّلًا): حتى تحذف السطر أو تحذف بياناتك. وإيقاف النسخ الاحتياطي يوقف النسخ الجديدة ولا يحذف ما نُسخ من قبل. وعند حذف سطر والنسخ الاحتياطي مفعّل نمسح نصه وأطعمته من خادمنا فورًا، وإذا كان موقّفًا يحدث ذلك حين تعيد تشغيله أو تحذف بياناتك.
الوزن والماء والهدف والإعدادات
على هاتفك: حتى تحذفها. وإذا نُسخت إلى خادمنا: تبقى النسخة حتى تحذف بياناتك، ويُحدَّث فيها ما تغيّره ما دام النسخ الاحتياطي مفعّلًا. أما الوزن الذي تحذفه من هاتفك فيبقى في النسخة حتى تحذف بياناتك.

حساب ضيف لم يُستخدم
يُحذف مع نسخته الاحتياطية بعد 365 يومًا من آخر استخدام، ويُحسب الاستخدام بأي تواصل بين التطبيق وخادمنا (مثل تسجيل الدخول أو النسخ الاحتياطي أو قراءة الوجبات أو تغيير موافقتك). يبقى دفترك على هاتفك.
الحسابات المسجّلة باستخدام Apple، وحسابات المشتركين في سفرة بلس
لا نحذفها تلقائيًا أبدًا، وتبقى حتى تحذف بياناتك.
سجلك لدى RevenueCat (رقم حسابك العشوائي، ومشترياتك إن وُجدت)
يُحذف عندما تحذف حسابك من التطبيق (القسم 8). أما إذا حُذف حساب ضيف لعدم استخدامه فيبقى سجله لدى RevenueCat، وتستطيع أن تطلب منا حذفه.

13 شهرًا. وعند حذف حسابك نفصلها عن رقم حسابك.

8. حذف حسابك وبياناتك
تستطيع حذف حسابك في أي وقت من داخل التطبيق: الإعدادات › احذف بياناتي. ويحذف ذلك فورًا:
حسابك على خادمنا، ونسخة كل سطور دفترك على خادمنا.
هدفك وإعداداتك ووزنك وأكواب الماء.
سجلات الموافقة وحالة الاشتراك.
ربط حسابك في Apple بسفرة، إن كنت سجّلت الدخول باستخدام Apple.
سجل مشترياتك من App Store لدى RevenueCat.
بيانات سفرة على هاتفك.
بيانات سفرة على ساعتك Apple Watch، إذ يرسل إليها آيفونك يومًا فارغًا.
بعد الحذف تختفي النسخ الاحتياطية لخادمنا خلال 7 أيام، وتُحذف النسخ لدى مزوّدي الذكاء الاصطناعي خلال المدد المذكورة في القسم 7، وتبقى سجلات الاستخدام دون رقم حسابك، وتُحذف سجلات الدخول والطلبات في موعدها المذكور في القسم 7. أما ما كتبناه في «صحتي» فيبقى فيه، وتستطيع حذفه من تطبيق «صحتي». وأما الرسائل التي أرسلتها إلى بريد الدعم فنحتفظ بها المدة المذكورة في القسم 7، ما لم تطلب منا حذفها.
حذف الحساب لا يلغي اشتراكك في App Store. ألغِ الاشتراك أولًا من: الإعدادات في الآيفون › اسمك › الاشتراكات.
ننصحك بتصدير دفترك قبل الحذف من: الإعدادات › المساعدة › تصدير دفتري (CSV). وإذا لم تعد تستطيع الوصول إلى التطبيق، راسلنا على support@getsufra.app.
9. حقوقك
بحسب القانون الذي ينطبق عليك، ومنه نظام حماية البيانات الشخصية في المملكة العربية السعودية، والقانون الاتحادي لحماية البيانات الشخصية في الإمارات، واللائحة العامة لحماية البيانات في الاتحاد الأوروبي والمملكة المتحدة، لك الحقوق الآتية:
أن تعرف كيف نعالج بياناتك، وهذا ما تشرحه هذه الصفحة.
الوصول إلى بياناتك والحصول على نسخة منها بصيغة مقروءة: صدّر دفترك من الإعدادات › المساعدة › تصدير دفتري (CSV)، أو اطلب منا نسخة كاملة.
التصحيح: عدّل أي كمية أو هدف من داخل التطبيق، أو احذف السطر واكتبه من جديد، أو اطلب منا تصحيحه.
الحذف: احذف أي سطر، أو احذف حسابك كله (القسم 8).
سحب الموافقة في أي وقت وبالسهولة نفسها التي منحتها بها: أوقف «قراءة الوجبات بالذكاء الاصطناعي» أو «احفظ نسخة احتياطية من دفتري» من الإعدادات › الذكاء والخصوصية. وإيقاف النسخ الاحتياطي يوقف النسخ الجديدة، أما ما نُسخ من قبل فيبقى على خادمنا حتى تحذف بياناتك من الإعدادات › احذف بياناتي (القسم 8).
الاعتراض وتقييد المعالجة ونقل البيانات حيث يمنحك القانون ذلك.
تقديم شكوى إلى الجهة المختصة: الهيئة السعودية للبيانات والذكاء الاصطناعي (سدايا) في السعودية، ومكتب الإمارات للبيانات في الإمارات، وسلطة حماية البيانات في بلدك في الاتحاد الأوروبي، ومكتب مفوض المعلومات (ICO) في المملكة المتحدة. ونتمنى أن تراسلنا أولًا لنحل الأمر معًا.
كيف تقدّم طلبك: راسلنا على support@getsufra.app. قد نطلب ما يثبت أن الحساب حسابك قبل تنفيذ الطلب.
متى نرد: خلال 30 يومًا. وإذا كان الطلب معقدًا قد نمدد المدة مرة واحدة بالقدر الذي يسمح به القانون، ونخبرك بالسبب.
للمقيمين في الولايات المتحدة: إذا كنت تقيم في ولاية لديها قانون لبيانات الصحة الاستهلاكية، مثل واشنطن أو نيفادا، فلك أن تعرف بيانات صحتك التي نجمعها ونشاركها، وأن تصل إليها وتحذفها، وأن تسحب موافقتك. ولا نبيع بياناتك الصحية.
10. الأطفال
سفرة ليست موجهة للأطفال، ولا يجوز استخدامها لمن هم دون 16 سنة، ولا يتابع التطبيق إذا كان العمر المُدخل أقل من ذلك. ومن هم بين 16 و18 سنة تعطيهم سفرة خطة تثبيت فقط من دون إنقاص الوزن، وننصحهم بإشراك أحد والديهم. لا نجمع بيانات الأطفال عن علم، وإذا علمنا أن طفلًا يستخدم سفرة حذفنا حسابه وبياناته. إذا كنت وليّ أمر وتعتقد أن طفلك يستخدم سفرة، راسلنا على support@getsufra.app.
11. تطبيق «صحتي» (Apple Health)
ربط «صحتي» اختياري، ويتم من الآيفون فقط. إذا سمحت بذلك تكتب سفرة في «صحتي»:
الطاقة الغذائية (السعرات) والبروتين والكربوهيدرات والدهون لكل وجبة، في وقتها الفعلي.
وزنك عندما تسجّله في سفرة.
لا تقرأ سفرة أي بيانات من «صحتي». وما نكتبه تحفظه «صحتي» ويخضع لإعداداتك فيها، ومنها مزامنة «صحتي» مع iCloud. لا نستخدم بيانات «صحتي» للإعلانات أو التسويق أو التنقيب في البيانات، ولا نبيعها ولا نشاركها مع أحد. ولا تستخدم سفرة iCloud ولا CloudKit لحفظ معلوماتك الصحية، وتُبقي دفترك ووزنك وأكواب الماء خارج نسخة آيفونك الاحتياطية على iCloud. وإذا كنت تنسخ آيفونك احتياطيًا إلى iCloud، فقد تشمل نسخة Apple الاحتياطية إعداداتك، وإجاباتك عن أسئلة البداية، وما تعرضه الأدوات من أرقام يومك وآخر سطورك.

12. المشتريات
تتم المشتريات عبر App Store، وتعالج Apple الدفع. لا نرى رقم بطاقتك ولا بيانات الدفع. ويصلنا من Apple، عبر RevenueCat، ما يلزم لتفعيل اشتراكك فقط: الخطة، والحالة، والتواريخ، وأرقام العمليات.
13. لا إعلانات ولا تتبّع
لا تحتوي سفرة على إعلانات ولا على أدوات إعلانية، ولا نتتبعك عبر تطبيقات ومواقع شركات أخرى، ولا نشارك بياناتك مع وسطاء البيانات، ولا نطلب معرّف الإعلانات. ولا نستخدم حاليًا أي أداة تحليلات أو تقارير أعطال من جهات خارجية، وإذا أضفناها يومًا فلن تتلقى نص وجباتك ولا أي قيمة صحية، وسنحدّث هذه الصفحة قبل تفعيلها.
14. أمان بياناتك
كل الاتصالات بين التطبيق وخادمنا مشفّرة (HTTPS).
قاعدة البيانات مشفّرة أثناء التخزين، ولا يصل كل مستخدم إلا إلى بياناته.
رموز الدخول محفوظة في سلسلة المفاتيح على هاتفك، ولا تُزامَن مع أجهزة أخرى.
صلاحيات فريقنا محدودة بما يحتاجه العمل.
إذا وقع حادث أمني يمس بياناتك أبلغنا الجهات المختصة خلال المدد التي يحددها القانون (72 ساعة في السعودية والاتحاد الأوروبي مثلًا)، وأبلغناك دون تأخير غير مبرر وبلغة واضحة.
15. التعديلات على هذه السياسة
إذا عدّلنا هذه السياسة حدّثنا تاريخ «آخر تحديث» أعلاه. وإذا كان التعديل جوهريًا أبلغناك داخل التطبيق قبل سريانه. وإذا غيّرنا غرض استخدام بياناتك، أو أضفنا مزوّدًا غير مذكور في هذه السياسة ليتلقى بياناتك، طلبنا موافقتك من جديد.
Sufra is a food journal. To work, it needs what you write about your meals. We treat your journal, goal and weight as health data, and we ask for your explicit consent before they leave your phone.
Nothing is backed up to our server until you sign in with Apple (before you tap the button, the sign-in screen tells you it backs up your journal, water, weight, daily goal and settings) or turn on Settings › AI and privacy › Back up my journal. Allowing AI to read your meals is a separate choice and doesn't start the backup. With a guest account only your journal can be backed up; your weight, water, goal and settings stay on your phone.
Your health answers (pregnancy or breastfeeding, diabetes, eating disorders), sex, year of birth and height stay on your phone.
To recognize foods, we send the meal line (or its photo, if you use photo scan) to an outside AI provider: today OpenAI or Anthropic, depending on the task. If your iPhone can't turn your speech into text itself, we send the voice recording to OpenAI to be written out. We don't send your name, account ID, weight or health answers, and the providers don't use this data to train their models or for ads.
We don't keep your photos or voice recordings.
No ads, no tracking, and we never sell your data.
You can export your journal and delete your account inside the app.
1. Who we are
The Sufra app is provided by Sufra ("Sufra", "we", "us"). We are the "controller" of your data: we decide why and how your personal data is processed.
This policy covers the Sufra app for iPhone, its Apple Watch app, its Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and this website.
2. What we collect and where it lives
We collect as little as we can. These are all the kinds of data Sufra handles:
Your journal lines
What it is
The text you write or say (up to 500 characters), its time, its meal, how you logged it (typed, voice, photo or Watch), your answer to a follow-up question if there was one, and the foods, amounts, calories and nutrients we calculate for it.
Where it lives
On your phone. A backup on our server, linked to your account ID, while the backup is on: it starts when you sign in with Apple or turn on Settings › AI and privacy › Back up my journal.
Why
To run your journal, calculate calories, and restore your journal if you change phones.
Required?
The journal can't work without it. The server backup is optional, starts only after you agree, and is separate from reading meals with AI: allowing AI doesn't start it. If you turn the backup off, your new lines stay on your phone, and what was already copied stays on our server until you delete your data (section 8). If you turned it off yourself, signing in with Apple doesn't turn it back on.
Your goal and settings
What it is
Your daily calorie, protein, carb and fat goal, the hour your day starts, language, units and number style.
Where it lives
On your phone. If you sign in with Apple and the backup is on, we also keep a copy on our server, linked to your account, so it comes back on any phone without asking the first questions again; the sign-in screen tells you this before you tap the button. With a guest account it stays on your phone only, and with the backup off your new changes stay on your phone.
Why
To show your plan, keep your settings, and bring them back on a new phone.
Required?
The app needs it on your phone to work. You can change it at any time.
Weight and water
What it is
Your starting weight from the first questions, the weights you log on the "Your progress" screen, and your glasses of water.
Where it lives
On your phone. If you sign in with Apple and the backup is on, we also keep a copy on our server, linked to your account, so it comes back on any phone; the sign-in screen tells you this before you tap the button. With a guest account it stays on your phone only, and with the backup off your new changes stay on your phone.
Why
To show and keep your progress, and bring it back on a new phone.

Your answers to the first questions
What it is
Your goal type, sex, year of birth, height, target weight, activity level, chosen pace, and your answer to the safety question (pregnancy or breastfeeding, diabetes, or a past eating disorder). Your starting weight is also saved as your first weigh-in (see "Weight and water").
Where it lives
On your phone only. Never sent to us or anyone else. The only thing we copy to your account is the daily goal they produce (see "Your goal and settings").
Why
To calculate your daily plan with safety limits.
Required?
Optional. If you skip a question, we use a more cautious estimate.
Your account
What it is
A random account ID, with no name or email, that the app creates the first time it uses any feature on our server, including food search (a guest account). If you sign in with Apple: an identifier Apple gives us. We don't ask Apple for your name or email.
Where it lives
On our server. Sign-in tokens are kept in the Keychain on your phone. If you sign in with Apple, we also keep, encrypted on our server, the token Apple gives us, only so we can disconnect Sufra from your Apple account when you delete your account.
Why
To sign you in, keep and restore your backup, and protect your account.
Required?
Needed for the online features: food search, reading meals with AI and the backup. Sign in with Apple is needed to buy or restore Sufra Plus, and to add new lines after some days of logging.
Sign-in and security records
What it is
IP address, device type, and app and system version, which your phone sends automatically with every request to our server, including when it signs in or refreshes a sign-in.
Where it lives
On our server.
Why
To protect accounts and prevent abuse. We don't use your IP address to find your location.
Required?
Collected automatically when you use online features.

What it is
What you agreed to, the version of the text you agreed to, when you agreed, and when you withdrew, if you did.

What it is

Voice
What it is
When you say a meal, your speech is turned into text. If your iPhone can do this itself (iOS 26 or later, with the speech model for the app's language), it happens on your iPhone with Apple's speech recognition, and the recording never leaves your phone. Otherwise the app records a short clip (up to 30 seconds) and sends it through our server to OpenAI to be written out.
Where it lives
We don't keep the recording in the app or on our server. OpenAI may keep it for the period in section 7. The text becomes a line in your journal.

To log a meal by voice.

What it is
The words you search for in Sufra's food table (up to 60 characters).
Where it lives
Sent to our server to find matching foods in our table. We don't store them, and they never go to an AI provider.

When you open these pages, our web host receives your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for, as with any website.

What stays on your phone only
Widgets
Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show your day's numbers and latest lines from data stored on your phone.
Reminders
Scheduled on your phone. They don't go through our server.
Export file
The CSV file is created on your phone when you ask for it, and you decide who to share it with.
Apple Watch app: it works through your iPhone, so it has no account or sign-in of its own and never contacts our server. The Watch sends the lines you say or type, glasses of water and your favorites to Sufra on your iPhone, which reads the lines like any other line and then sends your day's numbers back to the Watch. The Watch app doesn't read from or write to Apple Health.
We don't collect your contacts, location, browsing history or advertising identifier.
3. Reading meals with AI
To understand what you write or say in your own dialect, Sufra uses outside AI providers. This happens only after you give explicit consent in the app, on a screen that names both providers before your first line.
Our providers
Sufra uses two AI providers: OpenAI (GPT models) and Anthropic, PBC (Claude models), both in the United States. Which provider handles each task is a setting on our server, so it can change without an app update, but only between these two. If the main provider doesn't answer, or its answer can't be used, the same request goes to a backup provider. This is how tasks were assigned on the date this policy was last updated:

What we send

What we don't send
Your name, email, account ID, IP address, device ID, weight, health answers or goal. Requests reach the providers from our server, not directly from your phone.
What the AI does
It picks the foods and the amounts. For foods in Sufra's food table, Sufra's own code calculates the calories and nutrients from the table, and the food is marked "From Sufra's food table". For a food that isn't in our table yet, the AI also suggests approximate values per 100 g; Sufra's code still does the arithmetic, and we mark the result "Estimate" (تقدير) so you can check and edit it. The AI makes no decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

OpenAI
Doesn't use data sent through its API to train its models unless the customer opts in, and we haven't. Keeps abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, unless the law requires longer. We turn off its optional storage of responses.
Anthropic
Doesn't use data sent through its API to train its models without express permission. Deletes inputs and outputs within 30 days, except content flagged as violating its usage policy, which it may keep for up to 2 years (and its safety scores about that content for up to 7 years), or data the law requires it to keep.
OpenAI and Anthropic don't use your data for ads, and each is bound by a data processing agreement with us that gives your data protection at least equal to this policy.
Your choice
Reading meals with AI is optional. You can turn it off at any time in Settings › AI and privacy › Reading meals with AI. Once it's off, we send nothing to the AI providers, and you can add foods by searching Sufra's food table, with no AI.
4. Why we use your data, and on what basis
We treat your journal lines, goal and weight as health data, which is sensitive data. So we process them only with your explicit consent, and never on the basis of "legitimate interest".

What it receives
The App Store receipt and transaction history, your random account ID, and the IP address and device and app details that every request from the app carries. Not your name or email.
Apple provides the App Store, payments, Sign in with Apple, Apple Health and speech recognition to you as an independent company, under Apple's privacy policy.
We may disclose data if the law or a competent authority requires it. If ownership of Sufra moves to another company, the data moves with the same protection, and we will tell you in advance.
We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
6. Transfers outside your country
We serve people in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and elsewhere, so your data is transferred outside your country:
Our server data is stored in the European Union (Ireland). Server functions may handle your request in a data center near you before it is stored.
Our AI providers (OpenAI and Anthropic) and RevenueCat process data in the United States.
We rely on contractual safeguards for these transfers, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum, and on the safeguards required by Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law and its regulations and by the UAE Federal Personal Data Protection Law. We assess transfer risks where the law requires it. You can ask for a copy of these safeguards at support@getsufra.app.
7. How long we keep data

On your phone: until you delete them. On our server (if the backup was on): until you delete the line or delete your data. Turning the backup off stops new copies but doesn't delete what was already copied. When you delete a line while the backup is on, we erase its text and foods from our server right away; if the backup is off, that happens when you turn it back on or delete your data.
Weight, water, goal and settings
On your phone: until you delete them. If copied to our server: the copy stays until you delete your data, and what you change is updated in it while the backup is on. A weigh-in you remove on your phone stays in the copy until you delete your data.
Consent records and subscription status on our server
While your account exists; deleted with your account.
A guest account that never saved a line to our server
Deleted 90 days after it was created, if it hasn't been used in the last 30 days. Your journal stays on your phone.
A guest account that is no longer used
Deleted with its backup 365 days after it was last used. Any contact between the app and our server counts as use (such as signing in, backing up, reading a meal or changing your consent). Your journal stays on your phone.
Accounts signed in with Apple, and Sufra Plus subscribers' accounts

8. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account at any time inside the app: Settings › Delete my data. This immediately deletes:
Your account on our server, and the server copy of every journal line.
Your goal, settings, weight and water.
Your consent records and subscription status.
The link between your Apple account and Sufra, if you signed in with Apple.
Your App Store purchase record at RevenueCat.
Sufra's data on your phone.
Sufra's data on your Apple Watch: your iPhone sends it an empty day.
After that, our server backups expire within 7 days, copies at the AI providers are deleted within the periods in section 7, usage records stay without your account ID, and sign-in and request logs are deleted on the schedule in section 7. What we wrote to Apple Health stays there; you can remove it in the Health app. Emails you sent to our support address are kept for the period in section 7 unless you ask us to delete them.
Deleting your account doesn't cancel your App Store subscription. Cancel it first in iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
We suggest exporting your journal first: Settings › Help › Export my journal (CSV). If you can no longer open the app, write to support@getsufra.app.
9. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, including Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law, the UAE Federal Personal Data Protection Law, and the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:
Know how we process your data. This page explains it.
Access your data and get a copy in a readable format: export your journal in Settings › Help › Export my journal (CSV), or ask us for a full copy.
Correct it: change any amount or goal in the app, delete a line and write it again, or ask us to correct it.
Delete it: delete any line, or your whole account (section 8).
Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it: turn off "Reading meals with AI" or "Back up my journal" in Settings › AI and privacy. Turning off the backup stops new copies; what was already copied stays on our server until you delete your data in Settings › Delete my data (section 8).
Object, restrict processing and move your data where the law gives you these rights.
Complain to the authority: the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) in Saudi Arabia, the UAE Data Office in the UAE, your country's data protection authority in the EU, or the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK. We hope you'll write to us first so we can fix it together.
How to ask: write to support@getsufra.app. We may ask you to show the account is yours before we act on a request.
When we answer: within 30 days. If a request is complex, we may extend this once, as far as the law allows, and tell you why.
If you live in the United States: if your state has a consumer health data law, such as Washington or Nevada, you can learn what health data we collect and share, access it, delete it, and withdraw your consent. We don't sell your health data.
10. Children
Sufra is not meant for children and may not be used by anyone under 16; the app doesn't go on if the age entered is lower. If you are 16 or 17, Sufra only gives you a maintenance plan, with no weight loss, and we encourage you to involve a parent. We don't knowingly collect children's data. If we learn that a child is using Sufra, we delete the account and its data. If you are a parent or guardian and think your child uses Sufra, write to support@getsufra.app.
11. Apple Health
Connecting Apple Health is optional and happens on iPhone only. If you allow it, Sufra writes to Health:
Dietary energy (calories), protein, carbohydrates and fat for each meal, at the time you ate it.
Your weight, when you log it in Sufra.
Sufra doesn't read any data from Health. What we write is kept by Apple Health and follows your Health settings, including whether Health syncs with iCloud. We never use Health data for advertising, marketing or data mining, never sell or share it. Sufra doesn't use iCloud or CloudKit to store your health information, and it keeps your journal, weight and water out of your iPhone's iCloud backup. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud, Apple's backup can still include your settings, your answers to the first questions, and what the widgets show (today's numbers and latest lines).
To disconnect: in Sufra, Settings › AI and privacy › The Health app; or iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › Sufra.
12. Purchases
Purchases go through the App Store, and Apple handles payment. We never see your card number or payment details. From Apple, through RevenueCat, we receive only what we need to turn on your subscription: the plan, status, dates and transaction IDs.
13. No ads, no tracking
Sufra has no ads and no advertising tools. We don't track you across other companies' apps and websites, don't share your data with data brokers, and don't ask for your advertising identifier. We use no third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools today. If we ever add them, they will never receive your meal text or any health value, and we will update this page before turning them on.
14. Security
All connections between the app and our server are encrypted (HTTPS).
The database is encrypted at rest, and each user can reach only their own data.
Sign-in tokens are kept in the Keychain on your phone and don't sync to other devices.
Our team's access is limited to what the work needs.
If a security incident affects your data, we will notify the authorities within the time the law sets (for example, 72 hours in Saudi Arabia and the EU) and tell you without undue delay, in plain language.
15. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we update the "Last updated" date above. If a change is significant, we tell you in the app before it takes effect. If we change why we use your data, or add a provider not named in this policy to receive your data, we ask for your consent again.
